From the President
Well, 2012 is off and running, and Savannah Navy League is poised for another great year. Both of our adopted ships are continuing their important roles in the defense of our country. We are looking forward to visits either to or from, both ships in the next couple of months. Likewise, our local Coast Guard units will be selecting some of their top performers early in this New Year, and we hope to join in recognizing their outstanding service to our country.
I hope you will take a minute to look over the summary of activities that Savannah Council was involved in last year. These will continue in 2012, and all of our members are invited to participate in these events. It is an opportunity for you to show your personal support for these sea service members. Visiting with them and congratulating them on their accomplishments is a fun and heartening experience not available to many people, but it is available to you.
We will keep you posted on these upcoming events via email and announcements at our meetings. I hope to see you there. Bob
